Yesterday at the meeting we were able to wire up a basic platform for testing. The platform's components included the cRIO (Compact Real-time Input Output), Digital Sidecar, Power Distribution Board, and four Jaguars (no not the car, a type of motor controller). When we powered up all of the proper lights turned on and nothing was smoking! I was able to successfully connect to the cRIO through an ethernet cord. I deployed code crossing my fingers that it would work. When I "enabled" the "robot" there was an error message reading: 'WATCHDOG NOT FED. Grrrr... As programers we dislike the Watchdog with a firey passion. -.- We are excited to formulate a solution with the help that our programing mentor Jim sent us. Can't wait for the next meet!
